My love of food began early, when I earned my first O Level in Food and Nutrition at sixteen. Although I didn’t pursue paid work in the field at the time, that qualification sparked a lifelong passion for cooking, one that has stayed with me through every chapter of my life.
Over the years, I’ve built a diverse career spanning teaching in both college and private settings, collaborating with NHS teams, and running several successful business ventures. These experiences have strengthened my communication, leadership, and organisational skills, and deepened my commitment to helping others learn with confidence.
With five years left until retirement, I’m returning to the passion that started it all. I’m now dedicated to helping people discover the joy of cooking through practical, engaging, and confidence‑boosting learning experiences. To ensure the sessions are accessible to as many people as possible, I plan to employ a team of friends (class leaders and helpers) who will support delivery.
I believe food has a unique power to bring people together, and I’m excited to share that joy through hands‑on, inclusive teaching that empowers others to cook with ease and enthusiasm.
