Cook Stars classes start in Burton to SW Derby

I am a very recent newlywed to my husband Steve. We had a beautiful outdoor wedding, with my boys Asher 16 as best man and Jay 13 as groomsman, my cocker spaniel Honey even made an appearance.

I love that Cook Stars combine teaching with cooking. Teaching children such important skills that they are actually choosing to learn.

I stole the job of family cake maker from my mum! I have been making and decorating birthday and Christmas cakes from a very young age. Mum had an old Bero recipe book with the pages practically falling out, that I would choose things to bake from every week (mostly cakes and puddings)

I was a chef for a few years straight from school then went off travelling, I then got the travel bug and worked for a a tour operator until I got married. Then once the children came along I decided to go back to college and re train as a Teaching Assistant, I started work at a brand new school and ran the after school club.
I'm now a Cover supervisor in the same primary school so I teach classes when their teacher needs time out of class either for their own planning time or for training courses etc

I love a holiday abroad and have travelled around Australia and parts of Indonesia and Asia, I worked in various European resorts in my 20s and then ended up in the Caribbean but recently been enjoying exploring the UK, doing a walking holiday round the Lake district and completing the NC500 in Scotland.

My favourite foods are: Sushi (but I have never tried making it), Cheese and I still love making (and eating) puddings and cakes!
